THE CROOKWELL AP & H Society’s subcommittee for Team Penning and Sorting conducted another successful event over the last weekend. One hundred and twenty teams participated in Saturday’s Team Penning Carnival.
Winning team members were Tony Pearce, Trevor Mills and Chris Sherwood. Coming in second on the team point score were Chris and Matt Sherwood with Trevor Mills and the third placed team consisted of Amanda Kadwell, Bob Collis and Leanne Kelly.
The ever popular Team Sorting events were held on the Sunday, sometimes in raining conditions.

Third: Trevor Mills and Chris Sherwood
The events saw the most junior teams competing since the competition commenced here in Crookwell. “We had 21 junior teams and this is pointing in a healthy direction for the sport.” said organizer Gill Cummins. “Another good indication of how we are going was all the new faces here to compete. Riders were here from Braidwood, Picton, South Coast, Goulburn, Taralga and Yass. We received of compliments on how good the weekend was so the future of Team Penning and Team Sorting is assured in Crookwell.” said Gill.
Next weekend of events here in Crookwell is to be May 5 and 6, 2012
