THE late Jack Lillyman has made a much appreciated final gesture of his affection for Crookwell, and particularly its Golf Club - a bequest of $10,000.
Jack was a long-time member of the Club, and his input included terms as Captain and President - and there would have been no more popular member during his time here.
Last week, the Executor of Jack’s estate, Jim Bryant, travelled back to Crookwell from the coast to hand over the cheque. Jim himself is no stranger to Crookwell - his mother Nancy will be remembered by many.
In common with most small Clubs, the Crookwell Golf Club is facing difficult times, and Jack’s gift is timely and welcome.
