Priorities set for unsealed Crookwell streets

29 Jul, 2010 10:34 AM
PRIORITIES have been set for the improvement of a number of unsealed roads within the Crookwell township.

But people using those streets shouldn’t get too excited - no funds have yet been allocated for specific works.

The list was prepared by Upper Lachlan Manager of Works, Mr. Peter Mowle, and was considered by Councillors at their last meeting. No. 1 priority has been given to Tait Street.

Mr. Mowle reported that there was still a short length (about 105m) unsealed, and several local drainage channels crossed this part of the street.

He estimated cost of sealing at $30,000.

For the full story, including the list of streets prioritised, please see Thursday’s Crookwell Gazette, available from our office or at all leading newsagencies across the Crookwell area.
