Winning the toss and batting Gerard Evans and Grant Smith were contained with some tight bowling early leading to Grant's run out for five. Gerard then threw caution to the wind and punished the attack, now partnered by Hugh Erwin who was also striking the ball well. They added 99 and had all but made it to drinks when Evans was bowled by Sparra Parsons for 52 to keep Tuena in the hunt.
Shaun Smith kept things ticking along nicely with his 34, dismissed by a sharp covers catch by Dan Knight. Then low and behold if Sparra didn't manage to hold his first catch since 2008 - bad luck Marty Reynolds. Corey Knight snared Harry Cummins caught and bowled giving him his third wicket for the match.
With only an over to go Dave Evans picked up the century maker Hughie Erwin, caught by Geoff Knight for what turned out to be a match winning 122. Maybe Hugh will have to drive up from Albury for our next encounter Geoff Gilbert's catch on the boundary last over gave Laggan a healthy 7/255.
Andy Parsons was elevated to open both the bowling and batting. He provided some great entertainment with 22 from five scoring shots before being bowled by Grant Smith. Captain Wayne Boothman was far more patient as he watched Dan Knight, Don Tolson and Corey Knight depart for nine runs combined. Jordy Keady caused the trouble as he produced the best bowling performance of the day to finish with 2/19 from seven overs - a great effort on the small ground.
