A Grade
In a tough game in cold conditions Green were too strong for Gold taking the first semi final 5-3.
Jake Plumb scored three goals for Green, with Adam Laverty, Jack Huskinson, Keegan Ham, Charli Reid and Josh Cummins each scoring for their respective teams. In an awesome game where every player strived for greatness, and the supporters where captivated, Black proved unbeatable for the minor premiers, Blue.
The majority of the game was played in Blue’s half, but it was Black who were able to convert their efforts to goals!
Black advance straight to the Grand final, while Green and Blue will face each other this Saturday in what is shaping up to be a sensational major semi!
Hoping for more pleasant playing and spectator conditions this Saturday!
B Grade
Blue were a scoring machine in the friendly game between Blue and Orange, taking the match 9-3.
In a game that featured great passing, Luke Cummins, Hugh Croker, and Darcy Slater each scored three goals, while Brad Hayes and Connor Evans found the net for Orange.
In the first semi final of the day Green tried hard against Gold, with Rhys Secomb and Dom White being the standout players for their team.
The game ended with a 3-1 finish with victory to Gold. Brad Smith played strongly for Gold making the difference between the two teams.
In a good even game Red led 2-0 but Maroon fought back to take the game 3- 2. Jock Medway was in top form scoring all three goals for Maroon, while Daniel Picker was the goal scorer for Red.
Maroon are straight into the grand final, while Gold and Red will face each other this Saturday for the other final position!
C Grade
Oscar Rose was on fire, scoring five goals, when Green defeated Black 8-3. Ben Flood had a great game scoring three goals for Black, while Shay Smith and ‘sub’ Lachlan McCue also scored for Green.
It was a three all draw between Orange and Blue with Nick Selmes, Annika Picker, Jarred Croke, Harry O’Brien and Patrick McCallister all scoring goals. The score was 1-0 to Maroon agains t Gold. The lone goal was scored by Jye Naughton who usually plays for Gold, but due to the lack of players was a substitute player for Maroon!
D Grade
Maroon were too strong for Stripe Blue in a 6-1 game.
The game was played in great spirit in very cold conditions and the final score wasn’t a true reflection of the great game played. Mason Kearney scored four times for Maroon, with Amelia Croker, Isabelle Medway and Blake McCarten each scoring once for their respective teams.
Red defeated Blue 2-0 with Jackson Kelleher and ‘sub’ Jay each scoring. William Nagle played well in defence.
The score was 2-1 when Gold took on Orange. Goal scorers for Gold were Jesse Croker and a mystery ‘sub’, while Sebastian Crasnick scored for Orange.
Once again Joshua Evans and Jack Searle teamed up to score 7 goals for Green, proving too strong for Black who were unable to find the net.
