Soccer season for 2012 is just around the corner, with the Junior Competition kicking off on Saturday March 31 and the seniors yet to be announced.

This Saturday February 25 there will be an information morning at the Lin Cooper fields from 9.00am to 12.00noon for both juniors and seniors. Registrations will once again be online as per last year for all new registrations as well as existing.

The online site www.myfootballclub.com.au will be open from Saturday February 25.

Fees for this year will be on a sliding scale starting from $60.00 for 6-8yr olds, $65.00 for 9yrs, $75.00 10 and 11yrs, $100 12 to 15yrs, $110 16 to 18yr, $150 for full time student, $200 seniors (woman and men). Any further information please contact the registrar Billy Merryfull on 4832 0420.

This year dependant on numbers the D Grade will be for 5 year olds only, C Grade will be 6 and 7 year olds, B Grade will be 8 and 9 year olds and A Grade will be 10 and 11 year olds.

The 2012 season will see the introduction of the “Youth League” for the U12/13’s and U14/15’s in the STFA competition for which Crookwell would like to enter a team in both.

This competition will be played on a home and away basis and will provide greater opportunities for the players involved to play in a stronger competition.

Any 12 year old not wishing to join the youth league will still be able to play in the Saturday morning A Grade competition.

For anyone interested in learning more about soccer and achieving their coaching license there are some coaching courses coming up in March for all age groups.
