WITH the course playing very long, but the weather fine, 39 happy golfers were greeted with a mixture of conditions last Saturday as they played a Single Stableford event and competed for the Monthly Medal.
The standout score on the day came from Ken Croker who had an outstanding 63 net to win B Grade, but more importantly, the Monthly Medal.
The runner-up in B Grade, Ken Wong, had an impressive 67 net which would normally find him in the winner’s circle.
In A Grade David Scott used his close knowledge of the course to advantage to win with a 70 net, beating second-placed Troy Dooley on a countback.
Andrew Kemp continued his consistent form to take out C Grade with a 69 net, beating Shane Ellem by two shots.
Nearest-the-pin on the 4th/13th hole was Troy Dooley, finishing an impressive 1.07 metres from the pin while David Carter had that honour on the 7th/16th hole, with the ball ending up 3.83 metres away.
