Ladies enjoy the day

20/04/2005 1:41:13 PM
Crookwell Lady Golfers enjoyed the wonderful autumn weather for their Wednesday competitions this past Wednesday April 13.

In an 18 holes Stroke Event the winner was Jean Dooley (nett 72) ahead of Marion Jordan (nett 74).

Jean and Marion won the ball competition and Helen Badgery had the least number of putts on the day (33). Nearest the pin on the 4th/13th was Jean, with Helen hitting the best shot to the 7th/16th green.

In last week's Stableford Event, Doreen Branson came home with 26 points for a total of 44.

This wonderful round reduced her handicap from 32 to 29.

The Ball Competition went to Doreen and Marion Jordan (on a count back from Pat Johns).

Doreen and Pat hit the best shots to the Par 3 holes on the day, and Doreen had her putter running hot on the day. Four ladies attended a Golf Clinic at the Crookwell Course on Friday with Goulburn professional Graham Bugden.

They appreciated the expert tuition which is aimed to assist beginners and experienced golfers alike.

Graham intends to conduct such clinics on a monthly basis and dates will be advised through the press.

All enquiries may be directed to Ladies' President, Jean Dooley or Secretary, Marion Jordan.
