New Life was breathed into the Crookwell Amateur Lifesaving and Swimming Club last Wednesday night at a reconvened AGM.
The Club now has a new committee and the new members include: Anne Dickson, Jodie Anderson, Lisa Leonard, Robyn Doyle, Lisa and Richard Opie, and Rebecca George.
A special welcome to Anne Dickson, who is a retired swimmer and has agreed to help in the area of technical official/referee. Robyn Doyle and Beryl Croker are hoping to get the lifesaving back in action, so the children will be able to get accredited at all levels up to Bronze Medallion.
If you can help in any way, please contact them. The office bearers are as follows:
President: Meg Jones, Vice President: Jodie Anderson, Secretary: Lisa Opie, Treasurer: Suellen Picker, Publicity Officer: Rebecca George, Race Secretary: Steph Croker, Handicapper: Robyn Doyle, Time Recorder: Rechell
Naughton, Equipment officer: Richard Opie, Barbecue Coordinator: Lisa Leonard, Chief Timekeeper: Colleen O’Brien, Public Officer: Steph Croker, Race Starter: Vacant, Race Marshaller: Vacant, Disqualifier: Vacant, Chief Instructor: Vacant
As you can see there are still some positions vacant, which need to be filled. Training is available from NSW Swimming so you don’t need to be experienced in these positions. If you are interested in helping out with the vacancies, could you please call Meg Jones on 48321657 or Steph on 48433141.
Information Day will be Thursday September 23, 2010 at the Amenities Block between 2 and 5pm. The cost will be $65.00/swimmer, with an “early bird” discount of $5.00 for those members who register before the October 31 (that is $60/member before October 31). Registration and payment is again to be done online at www.nswswimming.com.au .
