Beatrice said she was very happy with the amount of community members who popped in to support this very important fundraising venture making $340 including the sale of raffle tickets for the quilt.
“Remaining tickets are selling well for the quilt that has been kindly donated by the Wednesday Patchwork Ladies to help raise added funds for the Cancer Council.” commented Beatrice
The Cancer Council celebrates this year with its 20 years of Biggest morning Teas and this is Beatrice’s 14th year cooking delightful cuppa tea accompaniments and sharing these with the community.
A special thank you and mention to Julian at the Chat a Way Cafe for his yummy scones.
“The girls at my patchwork group have worked really hard to put together some beautiful quilts so this is a great way to help recognise all of their time, effort and love that goes into these quilts.” Beatrice said.
“We have all been affected by cancer in one way or another so hosting a cuppa every year is a great way for me to give back.
“Every cup brings us closer to a cure and it’s such a simple way to give back to the community.”
