It is Dan’s tenth year offering his services as a Driver Trainer to the Crookwell, Goulburn and Queanbeyan areas.
He is a fully qualified Driver Trainer who assists drivers from learner aged to aged drivers into their 80’s.
“Ten years ago I decided to take up the training after helping a few of my mates get their licences.” Dan explained.
He bought the manual dual controlled car and set about getting his qualifications.
Dan offers lessons on a 54 topic program consisting of five categories. They are procedures, controls, initial traffic, secondary traffic and open road/night.
He explains the road rules to learners and revises rules for the elderly, takes students night driving to help gain their hours required.
A one hour lesson completed with Dan’s Driver Training is worth three hours in your log books.
Dan hires his driver training car to students for use on their training tests.
Dan is available for appointments during the day or evenings on 0419 169 775 or email him choppawray@yahoo.com.au.
“It makes me very proud when one of my students learner or older acquired their licence for the first time or review their driving practices and keep their licence to be able to drive into their 80s and 90s.” – Dan Wray.
Crookwell Tyre Service – Cody Jaffrey
Not many 25 year olds can assert they own a successful business which employs three local staff and has been established for over 50 years.
Cody Jaffrey can say this as he has settled into owning and operating Crookwell Tyre Service.
In October this year Cody has owned the business two years but before this he was the Tyre Fitter Manager for Divalls Earthmoving in Goulburn.
He worked three years as an apprentice under Max and Paul Corby the previous owners of the Tyre Centre.
Decidedly “he could see himself buying this business one day” when Max and Paul decided to retire and sell.
“I have always aspired to my mother (Deborah Collins) who has been a successful woman in business for over 30 years.” Cody explained.
“I want people to know that at my age anything is achievable if you really put your mind to it.
“I always thought I wanted to move home closer to my family and wanted to be the owner of my own business so I seized the opportunity when it came around.”
I have great staff behind me, Will Collins, Stacey Collins and Leigh Stein, and they make each day that little bit easier.
Their service to clients includes; fitting, repair and service of new and used tyres, wheel balancing, and the choice of a large range of tyres and rims to suit all makes of vehicles.
They have tyres for prams, mowers, cars, light commercials, trucks, tractors and larger if required. They can even fix your pushbike puncture.
Same day service for punctures is guaranteed.
If you want some ‘bling wheels’ for your new drive than talk to the boys about the latest looks and flick through the latest catalogues in the waiting room.
They also have an extensive range of Philmac hose fittings and poly pipe.
They stock all the big brand tyres, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Maxxis, Cooper and Mickey Thompson plus if there is a particular size you need - they can get them.
They offer an on call service for punctures and an on farm service for call outs.
