FAILURE of motorists to obey the parallel parking requirement opposite the Crookwell Health Centre is causing problems, last meeting of the Upper Lachlan Council was told.
Cr. James Wheelwright said that the illegal angle parking on this section of Cowper Street was reducing the available room for cars reversing from the opposite kerb.
“It is causing a particular problem for some of our more elderly citizens,” Cr. Wheelwright said.
Council introduced parallel parking along this section of the street to allow more room for reversing vehicles, and signs have been installed indicating this.
Cr. Wheelwright said he hoped motorists would take more care when parking in this area.
