As part of this initiative, the Commonwealth Bank Crookwell branch will give the Viewhaven Lodge a special gift.
Viewhaven Lodge was presented with their gift yesterday, Monday July 16, to coincide with the first Commonwealth Bank branch opening on July 15, 1912.
Viewhaven Lodge will receive a pressure mattress. This mattress will give support and comfort to elderly residents in the aged care facility in the Crookwell and surrounding district.
Noel Ottaway, Crookwell Commonwealth Bank Branch Manager, said, “This is a fantastic initiative that has enabled us to make a difference to our local community.
“We look forward to another 100 years of supporting the communities in which we operate.”
Dennis Marshall, General Manager of Viewhaven Lodge, said, “We wish to extend our gratitude to Commonwealth Bank for providing us with this gift.
“Viewhaven Lodge has to rely more and more on community assistance and donations to help with patient comfort due to many government cutbacks which directly affect aged care.
“It is a great indication of their sense of community and will be very well received.”
