Lieutenant Jessica O'Brien is a Navigating Officer in HMAS Huon, one of the Royal Australian Navy's coastal minehunters.
During her four years in the Navy she has travelled to South East Asia and the North West Pacific.
Jessica said she joined the Navy in 2009 for new challenges and to travel.
"We visit places that not many people see, make great friends and have a promising career," she said.
Jessica would recommend the Navy as a career for young people leaving school.
