Sam Kekovich was the guest speaker this year entertained the crowd with ease.
Kekovich, otherwise known as the ‘Lambassador’ graced the stage full of Aussie pride.
In the past he has launched a music video, set out on "dip-lamb-attic" missions to encourage the rest of the world "to be more Australian" and eat lamb.
A decade down the track Kekovich still takes the campaign very seriously.
"I've always been fighting the good fight for lamb, there is no doubt about that," said the former Australian Rules footballer.
“I was excited to be invited to Crookwell for the luncheon and I hope I provided an entertaining time for all the gents.”
“Crookwell’s a good place - grows good lambs!”
The auction on the day attracted fierce competition with 12 major prizes offered.
The amin organiser, Mr Chris Croker again officiated the proceedings and told the Gazette, “I am happy with this year’s get-together.
“I beleive this function has grown from strength to strength over the years to become a great fundraising occasion on the blokes calendar.
“It is a great way to fundraise for important community groups like the Upper Lachlan Foundation and the Crookwell Community Trust, and we are proud to be able to contribute and give back to our community in this way.
“I would also like to thank the many great sponsors that contribute to the day and the Services Club for a well catered event.
“The day is all made possible by the sponsors generous donations to the prize pool," Mr Croker said.
