Under 10s
The Under 10s were back up against the Braidwood Redbacks this week. An almighty effort was put in once again by the young side with tackling, in particular a big improvement this week. Braidwood shared some players with us which helped give everyone a run.
Final score was Redbacks 50 to the Pups 29.
Tries were scored by Sam Minehan (2), Jay Cunningham and Robbie from Braidwood (2). Two conversions went over the dot from Joshua Evans and Charlie Hayes.
Awards this week went to Joshua Evans and Jay Cunningham.
Under 12’s
Friday night the Under 12s Crookwell Pups took on the Goulburn Brumbies in a very strong encounter. The Brumbies hit the board early and continued to dominate for most of the game. The Pups had some great periods of play, stringing some good phases together. The Pups struggled a bit to maintain possession, with the powerful Brumbies forwards cleaning out and pilfering the ball. When the Pups held on to the ball, they looked very impressive with one string of phases leading to a great try to Jack Page. The pups forward pack, Luke McCue, Sam Spackman, Richie Branson, Harry Hayes, Sam Abbey and Ethan Slattery were very good. Connor Minehan and Wyl Hearn were tough in defence as was Jake Rudd. Rylee Croke and Alex Lowe continue to improve and impress every week. Will Harborne continued with his good form and new comer to Rugby, James Clements had his best game yet.
Awards this week went to Luke McCue and James Clements for a great effort all game.

JUNIOR SOCCER
SEMI (semi.. semi) FINALS (finals.. finals) are upon us like seagulls on a bag of hot chips. All the hard work, teamwork, enthusiasm and persistence will be required by every player to get their team to do their best. As Yoda said "Goal or goal not, there is no try".
Next week we'll have the finals and finally (heh) the grand finals will be played on Saturday September 6 2014 which is also our incredible IGA-sponsored Gala Day with awards, games, food and fun. I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it.
