Local IGA customers and residents were encouraged to enter the IGA’s Future Soccer Stars promotion by entering their receipts online for a chance to win prizes.
The major prize being a $10,000 grant including a training session with John Aloisi.
This promotion was conducted to benefit soccer clubs across Australia.
During the promotion three $100 vouchers, one $500 gift pack was won by locals.
The $100 and $500 prizes were instant prizes that anyone entering the comp had a chance to win.
A $2500 prize was won on behalf of the Crookwell Soccer Club through the community’s effort.
Crookwell IGA supports the skills days each year.
However, the prize has been overshadowed by the increase of fees on the fields so it won’t sit too long in the soccer club’s kitty.
The Crookwell Soccer Club wishes to convey their thanks to the IGA and the community who entered dockets on their behalf for the competition.
The Junior Soccer Club has had a successful year but wish to also mention they need sponsors for next year.
A sponsorship amount as little as $250 can help to renew uniforms and purchase much needed equipment for the children.
The yearly fees set by the club only cover the childrens insurances and there isn’t much profit coming from the fees to cover uniforms and equipment plus end of year trophies for the children. The club relies on outside sponsorship to cover the shortfalls.
