Upper Lachlan Shire Council Mayor, Clr John Shaw, held a reception on Thursday September 18 to acknowledge local athletes who are scholarship holders with the South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) in 2014.

The executive director of SERAS, Garry Lane, welcomed guests to the reception before providing an overview of the programs currently being offered by the academy. Scholarship holders were then presented with a certificate by Mayor Shaw.
The Mayor then responded by congratulating the scholarship holders and wishing the athletes the best of luck in their future sporting careers.
Athletes from the Upper Lachlan region who are members of the academy in 2014 include: Tasmin Davies (Cycling); William Hammond (Lawn Bowls); Billy Cramp (Touch Football); and Joshua Cummins (Touch Football).
