Crookwell won the toss and sent Hibo into bat which proved to be costly.
They quickly notched up 119 runs before the first wicket fell and finished on 5/352 from 40 overs with an innings that had 36 fours and 17 sixes.
You could have been mistaken for thinking this may have been played on the golf course next door with the Hibo batsmen keen to tee-off.
Catches were again our strong point in the field with all wickets taken from them.
The brother combination of Ben and Lachlan Croker bowled strongly finishing all 8 overs each.
Wicket takers were Brad Smith 1/31, Josh Paterson 1/30, Josh Wearne 1/9 and Braiden McCarten 2/26. Crookwell's opening batters Lachlan Croker and Braiden McCarten started strongly with a partnership of 57. Lachlan was keen to tee-off himself hitting 66 with 3 fours and 8 sixes (4 of which were in a row) and only 6 singles.
Josh Storrier was eager to get into the action as well and provided a huge score of 92 to our chase which included 10 fours and four sixes.
Josh Paterson contributed with a very helpful 21 and Josh Wearne 10.
Crookwell were bowled out for 227 off 33 overs.
This was a great effort for a very young side, considering we only fielded two players over the age of 17.
Crookwell will be keen to meet this team again next time at the Grange which should see the score halved... hopefully!
What a big afternoon of cricket - well done guys.
Footnote: Kookaburra was the brand of ball used.
