This will be a double celebration as not only will it be the final meeting before the Christmas break but teachers will also be celebrating the presentation of Life Membership of the Crookwell Teachers Association to one of its members.
Mr John Roberts has been an active member of the Crookwell Teachers Association for 28 years.
During that time he has held the position of Federation Representative at Crookwell High School.
At the association level, John has been a driving force taking on the position of secretary for many years and is currently the president of the association.
John is also the councillor for the Crookwell Association, a position he has held for ten years.
This involves attending regular meetings in Sydney and taking with him the opinions and concerns of the association and, as a result, being involved in the decision making of the NSW Teachers Federation. Prior to taking on the role of councillor, John was the Crookwell Teachers Association delegate to Annual Conference for eight years.
John has fulfilled each of these roles within the Crookwell Teachers Association and NSW Teachers Federation enthusiastically and teachers at Crookwell High school and in the Crookwell Teachers Association have always known they have been well represented.
John will be presented with his life membership by Gary Zadkovich, the Deputy President of the NSW Teachers Federation.
Members are encouraged to join with John in celebrating this momentous occasion.
