The official opening will be announced some time after that.
They are currently operating at the old shed on a Monday and Wednesday from 9am - 3pm.
Funding for the purchase of the shed and fit out has been raised through local fundraising efforts and two grants from Veoilia Mulwaree Trust and the State Government.
In total the shed has cost close to the $100,000 mark.
Local building contractor Josh Proudman has built the shed to the lock-up stage with fit-out to commence next week on the kitchen, office and bathroom areas.
The Men’s Shed currently has up to 30 members with 12 -15 attending most days.
Late last year and early this year they completed a few more local projects.
They have just completed a mud kitchen for the Gunning Long Day Care Centre and this is for the children to use.
The Crookwell Playgroup needed a cover to be made for the sand pit to keep the local cats out!
A ramp and landing has also been made and fitted to a house for a disabled client.
At present they are putting together a meeting table for the meeting room in the new Men’s Shed.
The table measures approx 2.4mt long by 1mt wide and is made from recycled oregon timber.
The jobs are always varied with a lady popping in just last week for help with her hose fittings.
Ron Browne is the president of the shed and you can just call around to the shed in Park Street or call 48321790 if you require their assistance or wish to join this helpful group of men.
