Last year, Crookwell sent a team of eight ladies to compete in the Miss Muddy competition and they were very successful.

This year they want to make the team bigger and hopefully take a bus load of competitors.

They are also aiming at raising funds for the Crookwell Community Trust to help others facing challenges and hard times in the local community.

The event is on October 18 but females wishing to compete need to take advantage of the earlybird price ($75.50, a percentage of this money goes to the charity of your choice at the time of registration) prior to August 9. The prices go up each month by an extra $10 so now is the time to commit.

The group are also looking for a major sponsor for the front of their “Muddylicious”shirts. Other sponsors are also welcome to donate to the muddies cause and get their logo on the ladies shirts.

There will be a wood raffle throughout June to raise extra funds you will find tickets and donation tins in selected stores around Crookwell and the surrounding districts.

A little about Miss Muddy

Miss Muddy is a female only obstacle and mud festival with a course of up to 5km for participants aged 13 years and over.

It includes mud, colour, climbing, crawling, slipping, sliding and lots and lots of laughter.

This un-timed obstacle course is all about women supporting women in a fun and non-threatening environment.

No expectations, no judgements… you are encouraged to come as you are and let your hair down for a day of fun.

It wouldn’t be Miss Muddy without lots and lots of mud.

Get ready to get down and dirty because staying clean is not an option.

They take great pride in our mud!

Fun for all fitness levels with a variety of obstacles that are designed to challenge you.

It’s totally up to you which obstacles you take on, no penalties for skipping a challenge.

In an interesting twist and something everyone looks forward to… a big bang followed by a colourful splat in the face and an awesome photo for you to remember the Miss Muddy colour canons experience.

The foam cannons are another favourite at every Miss Muddy event. Have the time of your life dancing in the foam and celebrating the day with your fellow Miss Muddies.
