If you have a little piece of history and would like to share it with the public, could you please drop off at the Gazette office for these photos to be copied. Any information of old days and functions that may have been held in the hall is also being called for.
The replacement of the Roll of Honour will serve as a memorial, honouring not only the men who went to war, but also those who were exempt from service to stay home and continue with the essential services in the agricultural industry. For example, our local potatoes were sent overseas to feed our Soldiers and wool was sent over to be used for their uniforms.
Any assistance with photos and stories will be greatly appreciated.
