The track meets Racing NSW standards for country race meetings and the Binda Picnics will be held on Saturday, March 12, as scheduled.
The Crookwell Picnic Race Club has invested more than $30,000 and in excess of 1000 volunteer hours to fence the track, aerate and seed to allow rehabilitation of sparsely covered sections.
Even though the cover is starting to dry off, the track is in very good condition.
The Club thanks its loyal sponsors, a number of whom left their 2014 sponsorship with the Club to help cover the huge costs involved to carry out the required work.

Crookwell Veterinary Hospital staff provide their services on race day.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council provides the water truck on race day to keep traffic dust under control. Local Rural Fire Service brigades undertake horse washing and traffic control.
The Club enthusiastically welcomes new sponsors for the 2016 race meeting including Millpaca Stud, Peter Marshall and Ken and Liz Ikin’s Cloverlee Stud.
In support of the Club, Landmark, Crookwell, has offered a sponsorship pack for 2017, when they will donate 1% of account sales (excluding fertiliser, insurance, livestock, wool, finance and real estate sales) over the next 12 months to the Race Club.
Customers need to register at the Crookwell branch of Landmark to participate.
There is no extra cost to customers who sign up for the project.
Club memberships are now due at a cost of $40, which includes two entry tickets and a free race book, along with the opportunity to purchase extra tickets at $20 each.
Tent sites are allocated to members and sponsors first, and if there are sites available after the closing date, then they will be allocated to those on the waiting list.
Tent sites measure 6m x 6m (including ropes) and are $150 per site. Entry at the gate this year will be $30 per person.
A joining fee of $20 applies to new members wishing to join, with the first membership fee $60.
Bus tickets are in short supply this year and are on sale at the Top Pub.
Committee members and helpers will be busy over the next few weeks mowing the public areas and getting ready for what is sure to be a very successful race meeting.
