Tuesday: A car driver mounted the footpath in front of the Crossroads Cafe, causing damage to the front of it. The car damaged cafe furniture and broke the cafe’s front window. The driver was unhurt. The cafe owner said this was not the first time such damage had happened. “We have had at least four incidences where cars have backed up too far with the driver finding themselves on the footpath,” the owner said. These near misses were reported to the council.
