Again the relaxed atmosphere at the Crookwell Golf Club, with beer and pizzas, made for a great night enjoyed by more than 70 people.
Bill Johnson, district veterinarian with Local Land Services, commenced the night with a hogget autopsy and seasonal update in one.
Coming off a tough summer and into a wet winter, there were plenty of questions regarding recent mortalities and illnesses faced by all those with stock.
Other guest speakers on the night included Anthony Fitzgerald from Gallagher, who spoke about the Westonfence range, which offers a complete and permanent electric fence solution suitable for internal subdivision and exclusion fencing.
Dave Noble from Loveland informed the crowd on how the Loveland product range can help increase winter feed production.
With stock prices being consistently strong, Dave spoke about filling late winter feed gaps and the main profit drivers in grazing operations.
The Loveland range which is exclusive to Landmark boasts a large range of products to suit all grazing, cropping and horticulture producers.
Peter Reardon from Zoetis gave a timely reminder on the importance of vaccination schedules with a high presence of pulpy kidney under current seasonal conditions.
Leading into spring, Peter also gave a timely reminder that without a booster in young stock after an initial dose there is no cover and any annual booster given after that will also have reduced efficacy.
Peter also touched on the importance of cattle producers using 7-in-1 with great examples shown of how leptospirosis will affect growth rates and finishing ability.
On the night, Allflex ran a lucky door prize with winners including Helena Warren, Suzie Anderson and Geoff Storrier.
Bill Bensley won a cargo net in the Landmark supplied lucky door prize and Natalie Hewitt won the Q Clothing hat and a travel thermos.
Allan Matthews was the lucky winner of the oilskin picnic blanket supplied by Peter Seary at Q Clothing.
As we head into spring, the bi-annual Advantage Program at Landmark is being run.
The Advantage Program enables producers to plan ahead for their animal health requirements by ordering them now with payment not required until January 20 in 2017.
Call in and ask for a quote on merchandise and this program.
