Crookwell will host it’s own children’s tree planting event at Kiamma Creek in October, with some local children having the opportunity to plant trees for the future.
Towards the end of October, Roslyn Landcare Group and Local Land Services will get more youngsters involved with their annual schools tree planting and environmental awareness day at Broken Bridge Travelling Stock Reserve.
As well as the planting of some 300 native trees and shrubs, the schoolchildren will learn about some of the native plants and animals of our region and some of the threats to their survival.
