McInnes is best known for his outstanding character acting over the years in a wide variety of television productions, including A Country Practice, Blue Heelers, Sea Change, Kath and Kim, My Brother Jack, East West 101 and more recently the edgy and at times disturbing and uncomfortable Deep Water.
His depth of talent enables his seamless engagement between romantic lead, comedy or intense drama that has been rewarded with numerous acting nominations and winning two Logie awards for Most Outstanding Actor.
McInnes is also a prolific storyteller penning over nine books and has just released his latest entertaining piece entitled, Full Bore, a humorous take on our sport- obsessed nation, the Australian popular culture and engaging Aussie stories.
Asked why he agreed to be Patron of Upper Lachlan Trust, William McInnes said, “I have a brother at Golspie and enjoy the location, the local people and was impressed by their support of community. I was asked to be patron and was happy to put my hand up to help in any way I could.”
McInnes will also give his time and his celebrity to assist the ‘Hats and Heels Charity Race Day Lunch’ to help raise funds for the Goulburn Palliative Care and Oncology Support Group at Goulburn Race Course on Sunday, October 30.
