The first of these communications devices will be presented at a special ceremony hosted by Gundaroo Music Festival event director, Scott Harding, and CEO of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW, Graham Opie at the Gundaroo Colonial Inn on Friday at 11am.
The recipient, Mary Harrigan, is one of more than 2000 Australians who have been diagnosed with motor neurone disease. For many people like Mary, the loss of the ability to communicate is often one of the most difficult outcomes in the relentless progression of the disease. The device will help Mary communicate.
