Vietnam born Thi Tuyet Hang Truong, known as Hang, took the Australian Citizenship Pledge at a private ceremony held at the Upper Lachlan Council Chambers recently.
Hang moved to Australia in 2012 to be with her husband, Warren Munro.
Hang, who lives in Crookwell, said she decided to become an Australian citizen because she “wanted to stay here forever”.
Upper Lachlan Shire mayor Brian McCormack congratulated Hang on becoming an Australian citizen.
“It is wonderful Hang has decided to become the newest citizen of the Upper Lachlan Shire,” Cr McCormack said.
