From Love Rides the Rails, a melodrama from a bygone era, to A Razzle Dazzle Music Hall Revue, an all singing, dancing, acting variety show, the Crookwell Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) has been delighting audiences with its homegrown theatre for 30 years.
Revitalised and reformed by a small but steadfast group of members in the Crookwell High School Hall back in 1987, CADS has gone from strength to strength.
Forty memorable performances have been staged over the 30 years – including 13 theatre restaurant/musical shows, 13 plays and 14 music halls – an amazing achievement for the local performance group that provides so much more than just entertainment.

A strong supporter of Crookwell businesses, young and upcoming actors and local organisations, CADS is proud of the important part it plays in the community.
To ensure its future is a bright one, CADS needs some energetic and enthusiastic fresh faces to join the close knit ‘family’.
“CADS is an organisation that is more like a ‘family’,” President Robert Bill said. “We support each other at all times and we would love to see some more people join our big family.”
All new members keen to try their hand at treading the boards will be welcomed by CADS with open arms. Email expressions of interest to rs.bill1@optusnet.com.au
