That is, 40 years since members of the presbyterian, methodist and congregationalist churches put aside many of their differences and came together to form the Uniting Church.

To mark this, they had a special day of celebration last Sunday.

Members of the congregation arrived to find the furniture all completed rearranged and a number of other surprises.
