The garden will be situated on the corner of Colyer and Park Streets Crookwell.
The Progress Association has partnered with the Crookwell Neighbourhood Centre for the development and sourcing of funding for this project.
At present, the Centre is seeking funding for the three stages of the project and is calling for interest from the community for the development and operation of the garden.
The Neighbourhood Centre has recently applied for funding through the Social Housing Community Improvement Funds, round three.
The Social Housing Community Improvement Fund aims to create better and stronger social housing communities by improving local community facilities, enhance open space to facilitate better integration within the community.
If successful, they will be notified in August 2017.
Stage one of the garden build will see security fencing, raised garden beds and infrastructure.
Community groups are now invited to take part in the project and a garden committee will be formed for the operation of the project.
Information is available from the CPA or the Neighbourhood Centre.
