With all the hype in the lead-up, expectations were the lefties could finally lift the shield, but the results told a different story. The righties proved too strong, averaging 2.5 points more.

The weekend’s single stableford returned some hot scores with both grades being won by 40 points: Mick Secomb, A grade; Peter Reid, B grade; Rod McIntosh, runner-up A, 39; and John Roberts, runner-up B, 39.
