The Showcase has been hosted in Yass this week, including at its Memorial Hall and public high school, with a range of arts – from visual to performance – on display.
The Showcase has been timed to be the stand-out feature of Education Week, said Gunning Public School principal Danny Scott as the schools finalised their rehearsals.
“The major event is the concert to be held on Friday night at Yass High School,” he said.
“This event will see 10 schools, 400 spectators and nearly 200 students participate in the inaugural ‘Binit Binit Learning Community Concert’ [with] all the amazing acts.”
He said the concert would feature individual schools, finishing with a 200-strong choir.
Dalton and Gunning public schools will represent the Upper Lachlan in tonight’s show.
Yass Valley public schools include students from Berinba, Boorowa, Bowning, Rugby, Rye Park, Wee Jasper, Yass and Yass High.
Tickets will be available at the door for $5, and the curtain will rise at 6.30pm.
