This is a drawing of “Roberts Inn” at Brooklands, Crookwell by Mrs Di Every.  It is where residents would wait for the mail to be delivered from Laggan.  The Crookwell Post Office was opened on September 1, 1867 in rented premises in Wade’s building (the small room to the left) of “Roberts Inn,” Brooklands, with George Gordon, the schoolmaster, as postmaster.
