After the area was cleaned and freshly painted, the Men’s Shed members have decided to take down the photographs and reinstate them with new signage displayed from the Men’s Shed.
The Men’s shed is also going to update the booklet of information that coincides with the ‘Wall Of Fame’ photographs on display; and has purchased a new sign to identify the ‘Wall of Fame’.
The Men’s Shed will also display a Hockeyroos uniform signed by Kellie White and Emily Smith that was presented to the council in 2014.
Any future additions to the ‘Wall of Fame’ will be undertaken by the Men’s Shed.
It is anticipated that the Men’s Shed members will start replacing the photographs next week and after a meeting yesterday and site visit to the Memorial Hall.
In breaking news, the Men’s Shed is going digital and building a Facebook page. They have been advised that Facebook will offer the Shed many opportunities to promote the Shed and to encourage new membership. They also see Facebook as a way to advertise their projects and let the community know what is happening at the Shed.
The eldest member is 84 and the youngest member is in his 30s, so there is a diverse range of experience offered. It is a great place that promotes men’s health and wellbeing.
There is a great range of activities available at the Shed and they are open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am to 3pm.
