GARDEN CLUB VISIT

Bob and Rosemary Spiller hosted Gunning Garden Club members last Sunday where their lovely mainly native garden spoke volumes for what dedication plus plenty of mulch and compost can do with very unpromising soils.  A Preston Tree Frog made its presence known and Bob quipped that is best to check under the lid before taking one’s seat in the smallest room of the house as they do love a toilet bowl!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Doreen Hansen’s many family members came from far and wide to celebrate her recent 80th birthday at St Matthew’s Hall, Dalton.  Congratulations Doreen and many happy returns!

BIKE RACE THIS WEEKEND

The ACT Veterans Cycling Club is holding a two day race meet on the Cullerin Road between Breadalbane and Gunning this weekend.  Lunch is being catered at Breadalbane on Saturday and Gunning PA&I Society is catering for the presentation lunch on Sunday. Organisers have been asked to ensure that competitors are mindful of vehicular activity on roads.
