The bitumen resealing will be carried out on select Council streets and rural roads until Friday, 20 October 2017, weather permitting.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council’s General Manager John Bell said motorists may experience minor traffic delays while this important work is carried out safely, to standard and without unnecessary delay.
“Council asks motorists to take additional care when travelling on newly completed works and obey posted advisory signage and traffic control arrangements. Care should also be taken to avoid accidental bitumen damage to floors and carpets due to the works,” Mr Bell said.
“Being a rural council, the community is heavily reliant upon our road network to access a variety of business, education, health and social activities. These works represent a significant investment by Council in ensuring our roads are safe and accessible for the local community and wider travelling public.”
Residents and businesses directly impacted by the work will be advised via a letterbox drop.
