The annual call-out for applicants has helped numerous organisations across the Upper Lachlan Shire.

The grants can afford much-needed equipment, props, repairs, white goods, painting, travel to industry events, training and partial building extensions.

“The process is simple,” says ULF secretary, Charlie Prell. “Just complete the easy-to-follow form, telling us about yourself and why you need the money, attaching any quotes if applicable, and send off to ULF.”

The foundation invests membership fees, donations, bequeathed funds and named trusts with the NSW Public Trustee and Guardian, with the interest earned being distributed each year.

Local business partners, such as Lindner Quality Socks and the Crookwell Potato Association, also donate a percentage of their sales to be invested.

The fund’s principal is not touched, so grows continuously with contributions.

The ULF is working towards having $1,000,000 invested to ensure there will be sufficient funds to continue the grants scheme for many lifetimes to come.
