“Women traditionally fulfill many nurturing roles for family and friends.” explained Anna Pye.
“Today, society nurturing self, is one of the absolute prerequisites when caring for others.
“This retreat is for those who want to take time out of the busyness of life to explore valuable meditation and self realisation techniques.”
The one day workshop will cover and explore the gentle and powerful ways to love self, ways to self nurture and deepen in self acceptance.
It will provide an opportunity and techniques to uncover our intuition which is the doorway to deepen stillness and wisdom. Moring tea, a locally grown wholesome lunch and afternoon tea will be included.
Anna said, “Willowtree Sculpture Garden at Laggan has facilitated many women's sacred space workshops and will be happy to discuss.
Upcoming Exhibition
“The student artworks for WillowTree Sculpture Garden's 2017 'Sculpture In the Village' exhibition are simply superb,” said garden owner Anna Pye.
“We are again part of the Crookwell Garden Festival and the Member for Goulburn, Pru Goward, will open the exhibition event.
You can enjoy live music entertainment with the Michael Baker Band, nibbles from the Mary Gilmore Society and great wine from Hatherleigh Vineyard here in Laggan.
Crookwell High, Crookwell Public School and Laggan Public School students have entered individual and very stunning art works made from wire, willowtree branches and decorated metal wheels.
They will delight visitors to the garden and impress beginner and advanced sculptors with their creativity.
It has been our dream to support local students to learn to sculpt as a visual arts medium and to foster talent and creativity in young students.
Gabrielle Saville from Tuena is one of the wire Artists who was awarded the 1st prize art excellence award in 2016. She has assisted students at Crookwell High School with their entries.
It demonstrates community coming together to support, foster and develop local artistic talent.
This year we will have over 120 sculptures for sale, all of an extremely high standard.
Judge Feyona van Stom from the Sculptors Society will have a hard job selecting winning artists for Art Excellence from our local students, beginner and experienced, regional and international artists.
Please feel free to bring a picnic, BYO, friends and family.
