An exciting program is anticipated for the 2017 Crookwell Rotary Swap Meet and Market Day to be conducted at the Crookwell showground on Sunday October 22.
There has been a great deal of interest shown by stall holders for this year’s event with enquiries received from the surrounding region and towns including Goulburn, Bathurst, Young, Canberra and as far afield as Sydney and the South Coast.
“Nearly 60 stallholders have already booked their sites which give us great confidence that this year’s swap meet and market day will be our most successful ever” said Sean Proudman who is co-ordinating the stalls.
“However, local organisations and individuals still have an opportunity to secure a site as there are still over 100 sites available and may be obtained by contacting 48321566 or turning up when gates open at 6.30am Sunday morning” added Mr Proudman.
Mr Proudman further added that “stall holders can set up from 12 noon Saturday but the general public access will only be permitted when gates open at 6.30am Sunday”
Also the popular Show and Shine will be held in conjunction with the event and is the destination for the 2017 Canberra - Crookwell Charity Cruise organised by the Ford GT Club of Canberra.
Local motor vehicle enthusiasts are most welcome to participate and can enter their vehicle on arrival Sunday morning.
Entrance fee remains at $5 for adults and children under 12 are free.
As usual there will be plenty of free parking close to the action and catering will be undertaken by Rotary members and their partners.
Come along and pick up some bargains at very little cost and be eligible to win some of the $400 worth of lucky entrance or stall prizes.
Rotary President Brian Hudson advised that “the Swap Meet and Market Day has become the major fund raiser for the Rotary Club of Crookwell and a strong community attendance will ensure the Rotary Club can continue its significant support for local community projects and Rotary charities.”
