The Crookwell CWA Day Branch is holding a first aid course on Saturday, November 25, designed specifically for our rural setting and run by Ablaze. The session will focus on the latest localised care in emergency situations. With this and included in the price for the ladies will be a 12-month membership of the Crookwell CWA.

The course will be held at the CWA rooms in Spring Street, Crookwell, commencing at 9am and could well save a precious life.
The course, running over six hours, will cover incident management and decision making, CPR, minor wound care, trauma injury including crush injury, spinal injury and bleeding.
The course will also cover the more common things like insect bites and stings, particularly snake bite, heat and cold-related conditions, medical conditions including heart attack, stroke, diabetes, seizure, anaphylaxis, asthma.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
The Crookwell CWA -ponsored cost for the course is $41.50 that will also offer local women one free year membership to Crookwell CWA.
The training fee is usually $88 per person.
When living in a rural area, the knowledge on how to administer first aid could save a life.

CWA would welcome residents on farm or in town to participate in this event.
