Bushfire was captured from NewHaven station along with some mares in 2000, before the Station was turned into a bird sanctuary.
As like all good Waler Studs, TruBlu Walers horses are DNA tested to ensure that no modern blood, after 1945 had been introduced into the wild herds.
The isolation of the Stations and their records provide further evidence that any remaining horses were from old stock.
Outback and country stations supplied horses for WW1 and they became known as Walers as the business dealings to acquire them were done in New South Wales, even though they were shipped from various ports.
The Inaugural Australian Waler awards recently held in Gatton Qld, recognised TruBlu Walers of Jerrawa, NSW as the winning stud and sire.
This was achieved because of the efforts of the studs and competitors that now own and are showing TruBlu horses.
TruBlu Trailblazer is currently a stallion standing at Pinnacle Peak Walers, shown here receiving his award with Steve Kearns and his owner, Penny Beiber.
TruBlu Tapestry is excelling at pony club and junior competition, winning her new owner, Shannon Robertson the rider of the year award.
Shannon's family own a very special Cordillo Downs stallion and have recommenced breeding at their stud, Providence Walers at Murringo, NSW.
TruBlu Walers are no longer breeding but Pinnacle Peak Stud and Providence Walers can both provide information through their Facebook pages or Providence on 0402025938.
