Crookwell Public School students, along with riders from Independent, Catholic and Public schools, competed in Camden High Schools’ NSW Interschool Equestrian event on Saturday, November 4.

The event was conducted at Bicentennial Park, Camden.
Despite the dismal weather the Crookwell Public School students achieved outstanding carnival success.
The school’s youngest competitor, Zackery Eldridge from Kindergarten, on his horse Izzy, won 1st place in the most suited mount.
He won a 5th place ribbon in his rider class.
Cooper Burch competed in the Year 4 intermediate hacking ring to win 1st place in versatility. A 2nd place in hack over 14 hands and 2nd in pairs. He also won a 3rd in his rider class.
Cooper went on to do very well in E grade show jumping and 2nd in handy pony sporting.
Kimberly Allport represented Year 5 in the intermediate ring to place 3rd in pairs.
She won 3rd in hack over 14 hands, 4th in versatility and 5th in her rider class.
Kimberly enjoyed the sporting events of handy pony, bending and keyhole.
The last competitor, Ella Anthony, was also from Year 5.
She entered the intermediate ring.
Ella won 1st in best presented and 2nd in best educated.
She also received 2nd in hack over 12 hands not exceeding 14 hands.
Ella placed 3rd in her rider class and 3rd in pairs on her horse Kista Park Camelot.
All students were awarded a participation ribbon.
They claimed many equine prizes throughout the day.
The students are to be highly commended for their dedication and commitment to the event.
Their competitiveness and the pride they exhibited while riding to represent Crookwell Public School was of a very high standard.
