Over 200 people visited the Spring Fling art show at the Crookwell Art Gallery over the weekend. There were 90 entries exhibited and more than 10 percent of those were sold. Local veterinarian and gardening author Jennie Churchill addressed the 60 guests on opening night and delivered a relevant and artful talk with comparisons between creating a garden and creating art. Thanks to the Upper Lachlan Shire Council for its support towards cash prizes for the “People's Choice Award” won by artist Jacqui Gilleland for her painting “Red Waratah”;  the “Unpackers' Award” won by artist Sue Grieves for “Watching” and the “Still Life Award” won by artist Jan Green for “Crab Apples”.
