Miss O’Keefe is a third year Teacher of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) student from Charles Sturt University.
Her four week practicum on class 1/2B with Mrs Jade Bell as supervising teacher, commenced on October 30, 2017.
“Working with the wonderful students in Year 1/2, strongly supported by their highly competent class teacher has been an amazing experience,” said Miss O’Keefe.
Kaisee grew up in the local area on a property located between Crookwell and Goulburn.
She engaged in her primary schooling at Saint Joseph’s Primary in Goulburn
Her secondary schooling was at Mulwaree High School also in Goulburn, before deciding to further her education in 2015 at Charles Sturt University.
Teaching is a career Kaisee has always aspired to.
She attributes this to some of the amazing teachers she encountered throughout her own schooling.
Kaisee is one year off completing her degree and hopes to find herself back in this area teaching once she has graduated.
“It is wonderful to think that through teaching I can help children shape their lives through education and support.” she said.
Kaisee is having a fantastic time at Crookwell Public School where she feels welcome, supported and guided.
The professional and friendly environment of Crookwell Public school has made this practicum placement one that Kaisee will always hold in the highest regard.
