Council resolved to establish the subcommittee at the Ordinary Council Meeting held at the Council Chambers Gunning last week.
The committee, which will consist of Councillors Pam Kensit and Paul Culhane, two staff members and two community members, will report back its recommendations to Council within six months.
Council’s General Manager John Bell said the subcommittee will assess the feasibility and practicality of the project.
“This project is one of significant community interest so it is essential that we have input from the community from day one.
“Council will be calling for nominations for community representatives for the subcommittee through a formal submission period shortly.”
