Fishing club
The fishing club has been busy releasing trout fingerlings into the local waterways which included Crookwell, Reedy, Lachlan, Wheeo, Bolong, Phills and Grabby creek.
Brenda Carney from the club said, “I would like to thank all the men who put the trout out for the club.
“To our committee who have worked so hard at running the fishing all year-round thank you one and all. “Speaking of our club it would be nice to see more members getting involved with the running of the club.
“The likes of more helpers with releasing the fish giving a hand at selling our raffle tickets at our street raffles, attending our meetings just giving some help, as there are members who are on hand all of the time and they would like to have some help.
“If we don’t get the help, I am afraid the club will go down hill and I am sure that would be a terrible thing to happen.
“So give help when we ask for it please, attend the meetings.
Their next meeting will be Feburary 15, 2018, 7.30pm at the Criterion Hotel.
“This is my final newsletter for the year so thanks to the girls at the Gazette and Merry Christmas to you all and Merry Christmas to all our members and committee.
