WOMEN’S SIX WEEK SELF-DEFENCE COURSE
Starting in 2018 by Amanda McMillan
I run a women’s self-defence course and would like to offer it to the women and girls of Crookwell.
I’m a black belt in Taekwondo and run my own business.
I have just successfully run a course in a nearby country town and I don’t want Crookwell to miss out.
As a young woman I was attacked and didn’t know how to defend myself and I don’t want any woman to experience that situation.
Six months in Goulburn, I had to use my self-defence skills and I knew what to do and my skills worked.
I would love to pass on my skills, knowledge and passion for women and girl’s self-defence.
I can relate to women, as I have been attacked recently where I knew how to defend myself.
The course consists of six one hour long classes learning basic kicks, hand strikes, defence against weapons, ground attacks and attack scenarios.
Martial arts builds self-confidence, respect for others and is a great way to keep fit and make lifelong friends. Bring along a bottle of water and wear loose fitting clothing.
To inquire and sign up for the six week course ($16 a lesson), call Amanda McMillan, Head Instructor on 0427 074 832.
The class needs a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 to run the course.
